Brown Mpinganjira appointed as DPP Acting Spokesperson
Brown Mpinganjira has been appointed Acting Spokesperson for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) replacing the vocalist Nicholas Dausi.
Mpinganjira will be deputized by Henry Mussa.
This was agreed during an emergency meeting held on Thursday afternoon chaired by former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in Mangochi.
The DPP National Executive Committee also appointed Andrew Matemba as Director of Elections replacing Ben Phiri who resigned two days ago.
The committee also appointed Sheikh Emran Mtenje as the party’s regional government for Eastern Region.
DPP is in leadership crisis as others are agitating for the firing of the party President Peter Mutharika if the party is to bounce back in 2025 presidential polls.
The issue forced the party President to call for an emergency meeting.
